Modifications
Waikele Community Association Modification Committee approval is required prior to construction for all additions or alteration to any lot subject to the Master Declaration of Waikele which alter the exterior appearance of any residence or structure, including landscaping, walls and fences, and painting.
ALL MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTS and TROPICS AT WAIKELE RESIDENTS MUST CONTACT THEIR PROPERTY MANAGER REGARDING MODIFICATION INQUIRIES. Sub-Association house rules may be stricter than WCA Rules and Guidelines, and therefore require initial approval from their neighborhood association.

After selecting one of the two options listed below, contact our office and we will assist you in acquiring the appropriate application and any information necessary to complete the application.
Pre-approved Vendor Application Process – An expedited process is available to homeowners who elect to obtain paint from our pre-approved vendor (Sherwin Williams for existing color schemes and Pittsburgh Paints for the 18-newly approved color schemes). Paint codes from our pre-approved vendor have been reviewed and granted a blanket approval by the Modifications Committee. Owners wishing to utilize the pre-approved vendor paints must complete a Pre-Approved Permit for Exterior Repainting application and return to the WCA office. A permit will be immediately issued to the homeowner upon receipt of the application.
General Modification Application Process – With this method, you may elect to purchase paint from a vendor of your choice. Simply fill out an Application for Approval of Modifications, Additions and Improvements and submit 2″x2″ paint samples along with the application. Samples will be matched to color swatches on file at the WCA office. Please note that this method may lengthen permit processing time, as samples must be reviewed and approved by the General Manager. Consult pages 14-15 of the Rules & Guidelines for more information.
Changing your Color Scheme – Owners must fill out the below Application for Approval of Modifications, Additions and Improvements whenever repainting involves changes in color. Only colors within the range of colors originally specified for the project will be accepted. Acceptable color schemes are available at the WCA office. Owners must ensure that their selected color scheme does not match that of immediate neighboring properties. Paint samples are required if you will not be obtaining paint from the pre-approved vendor.

After selecting one of the two options listed below, contact our office and we will assist you in acquiring the appropriate paperwork. Please note that new mailboxes must match the color assigned to your neighborhood in order to maintain consistency throughout the community.
Pre-Approved Mailbox Application Process – An expedited process is available to homeowners who elect to install one of our 4 pre-approved security mailbox styles (refer to mailbox attachment below). These security mailbox styles have been reviewed and granted a blanket approval by the Modifications Committee. Owners wishing to install a pre-approved mailbox must complete and return to the WCA office a Pre-Approved Permit for Security Mailbox application. A permit will be immediately issued to the homeowner upon receipt of the application.
General Modification Application Process – With this method, you may elect to purchase a mailbox style of your choice. Simply fill out an Application for Approval of Modifications (see below attachment). Please submit a picture of the mailbox style along with the application. Please note that this method may lengthen permit processing time, as styles must be reviewed and approved by the General Manager.
